Hello and thank you for taking the time to join me on my website.  I am a Registered Nurse for 39+ years, and have worked in health care even longer, since 1975. 

I have a firm belief and understanding that nursing is a multidimensional profession that embraces the full spectrum of health care specialties, from both the traditional western model to the holistic eastern integrative modality approach. As such, health and wellness have always held a special interest to me.            I believe in balancing a healthy diet, exercise, preventative and integrative care in order to maintain     a healthy outlook and lifestyle. Many have heard that health care is both a science and an art. While embracing both, for me a key tenet is compassion and believe this to be an essential component in all that I do.

· Associate Degree Registered Nurse (ADRN), Mattatuck Community College, 1983

· Bachelor of Nursing Degree (BSN), University of Phoenix, 2004

· Reiki 1 Certification from Susan Chiocchi, 2012

· Reiki II & III Practitioner Certification from           Stephanie Soder, 2018.

· Microcurrent Point Stimulation (MPS) Certification 2018.

· Reiki III Master Apprenticeship with Susan Chiocchi,    2018 – 2019.

· Nurse Healing Touch course from Cindy Parsons, RN, 2018.

I have personally experienced the benefits of both Reiki and MPS. Years ago a friend gave me a few Reiki treatments; I experienced relaxation and relief from pain, which led me to do more research on Reiki.  MPS was introduced to me later through David Grace, a Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine in Longmont, Colorado. He treated me with both chiropractic adjustments and MPS. 

My personal experience with Reiki & MPS helped unearth my vision of integrating both of these modalities into my nursing career. Each help fulfill my passion in caring for others through a holistic approach. This endeavor speaks to my core beliefs and values of health and well-being.
